Co-founder
Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.
Ben picked up that line from Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich as a teenager, and it's shaped every business he's built since. As co-founder of Appoyo, Ben leads strategy, partnerships, and enterprise sales. His career has been built around leadership and people development, and through his other venture, Conexson, he's spent years inside the disability and home care sector, working closely with providers on the talent side of the business listening, watching how the work actually gets done, and seeing where it breaks.
That's where Appoyo started. Sitting across from operators week after week, Ben kept hearing the same story: clunky systems that were hard to learn and harder to use, ROCs being re-typed into rosters by hand, billing leaking through manual line-item selection, compliance evidence scattered across emails and spreadsheets, and three or four disconnected platforms that didn't talk to each other. Coordinators were spending their days clicking and typing instead of supporting their teams. Support workers were getting paid late or wrong. Care managers were chasing notes that should have been captured at the shift. The people who got into this work to care were drowning in admin and the software they were paying for was part of the problem.
The market, as Ben saw it, gave providers two options: off-the-shelf care systems that were cheap but limiting, or enterprise builds on Salesforce or SAP that cost a fortune and took years. Appoyo was built as the third option a single integrated platform combining HR, Care Management, Incident Management, Payroll and NDIS Billing, with AI doing the heavy lifting on the work providers shouldn't have to do manually. Go-live in six months, at a fraction of the cost of a custom build, with the room to keep customising as the business grows.
The principle underneath it all hasn't changed from Ben's earlier work: if the participants and the support workers succeed, the provider succeeds and the platform should make that easier, not harder. Appoyo is built so providers spend less time inside their software and more time on the people in front of them. You do it to care, not type.
What he enjoys most is sitting across from an operator who's trying to grow without losing the quality and care that got them there, and showing them what better looks like. If that's the conversation you'd like to have, he'd welcome it.
